Insight Health Webportal - Usermanagement
Switching off simultaneous multiple use / concurrent users
Data security is a top priority for us. There are various ways to protect data, e.g. encrypted transmissions or the two-factor authentication that we introduced last year. We will be implementing another data security measure on 1 August 2025: Simultaneous multiple use of the same account for the Insight Health web portal will no longer be possible from this date. This measure is now being applied in more and more companies and also for registrations for private use and you are probably already familiar with it from these contexts.
A distinction is made between the following user types:
Concurrent User
Single/ Named User
The advantages of a named user licence
- The Named User licence adds an additional layer of security to your account and eliminates password risks
- The Named User licence increases the barriers to unauthorised access to the data that can be viewed in the web portal
- The Named User licence ensures regulatory compliance/ adherence to industry standards for data security
Frequently asked questions
Multiple use of an account by two or more users is unfortunately not permitted. To ensure that all users have secure access and the best possible experience with our applications, we ask you to purchase an additional licence. Please get in touch with your personal contact at Insight Health.
Please change the password and customise the 2-factor authentication (2-FA). Instructions for setting up or changing the 2-FA can be found under the following link. As multiple use of an account by two or more users is unfortunately not permitted, the colleagues require their own licence for access. Please get in touch with your personal contact at Insight Health.
An email address that can be accessed by multiple users is unsuitable for accessing our applications as it does not enable a personalised account (named user). Multiple use of an account by two or more users is not permitted. If a shared e-mail address is used under the account, please get in touch with your personal contact at Insight Health. Here, the email address stored can be personalised for a user accordingly. As multiple use of an account by two or more users is not permitted, the colleagues concerned who have also previously used the shared address for access require their own licence for access. Please get in touch with your contact person at Insight Health here too. If the shared e-mail address remains stored for the account, simultaneous multiple use is no longer possible.
In this case, please get in touch with your personal contact at Insight Health.
The measure is an important industry standard for data security that makes it possible to take even more effective action against unauthorised access. The measure is based on recommendations from the BSI (German Federal Office for Information Security) and is proactively implemented by Insight Health in order to protect the data and account information contained in the portal in the best possible way.
Multiple use of an account by two or more users is not permitted. To ensure that all users have secure access and the best possible experience with our applications, we ask you to purchase a second/additional licence(s). Please get in touch with your personal contact at Insight Health.
From August it will no longer be possible to have multiple licences for the same account.
A logged-in account can continue to run several applications simultaneously in one session (e.g. Patient Insights Analytics and Galaxy NG). However, another login with the same account (from a different device) will result in the previous session being forcibly disconnected.
Example: You are working with your account in an application on your laptop. You log in to another device with the same account at the same time. This results in you being logged out of your account on the laptop, as only one device may be logged in at a time.
