Patient Insights: Focusing on Patients
Patient Insights delivers optimal solutions to patient-related questions by providing a reliable, up-to-date view of real-world care in the statutory health insurance (SHI) prescription market. Our data enable longitudinal analyses over periods of up to five years and allow you to pinpoint individual treatment events over time, such as treatment initiation or changes in medication.
We work with anonymized healthcare data from more than 64 million patients in Germany, whose real-world care we have been capturing and analyzing since March 2020. This represents approximately 77 percent of all SHI-insured patients nationwide. All results can be extrapolated to the overall SHI market. To do this, we use a data protection–approved process for anonymized data collection via a trusted third-party center.
"Prescription and sales data are an important source of market insights – but for us, they are not enough. This is because they merely reflect the status quo of the market environment and do not take individual treatment paths into account. Our longitudinal analyses, on the other hand, provide detailed information about real-world therapy for patients, which physician specialty groups are crucial for established or new therapy regimens, and which patient characteristics dominate within your therapy environment."
